Yoga, which is known as ancient science and philosophy today, has been practiced for thousands of years in various parts of the world. In past yoga is practiced only by adults. But now its popularity is increasing among children too. Parents complaint so many disorders and disturbances about their children such as sleeping, eating, headache and wrong posture. Day by day the pressure of exams, competition and aggression in schools much stress the children all over the world. In these circumstances we must find a way of exercise that involves the whole body, soul and mind. Children assistance is expected to perform better and better in their education and such as dreams their parents have. Children are expected to understand the real meaning of life, ethical values and development to meet their country's requirements. The programs throughout the educational period will make them healthy which will bring the confidence among them. These programs (syllabus) enable them to face the upcoming challenges in life more appropriately. At the same time children also needs care and protection. These children can take care themselves and enough aware about their rights if they are ready for it. Various academic institutions have made yoga a part of their syllabus especially in their lunch time programs, special education classes and in pre-schooling. In these institutions yogis combined some dynamic movements, postures, breathing exercises and meditations into an integrated program of physical fitness, education, social and self-awareness. Actually yoga is the way to gain the unity and perfect balance of body and mind. Yoga is an exercise with correct breathing and meditation. Yoga enables us to discover our spirit through the body. It makes the children alert, flexible, stronger, healthier and more confident. The syllabus that has been taught to children already has various practices that help yoga exercises. These activities are done for body and mind balances with game playing, singing, storytelling, drawing, simple breath meditations and rest. Children have to follow yogi's instructions by learning the names of body parts, their locations and function. Children also learn the names of the postures and movements. This activity develops a yoga vocabulary in children. These yoga exercises can help them to play games and daily work more easily. During practice different imaginations of animals are used to make up stories about animals on a farm, which makes the children able for climbing the mountains or trekking through forests. They can each easily assume their role as a leader of their team or to teach their classmates a yoga posture or breathing exercise and this method improves yoga very quickly in children. Yoga, as a science improves the knowledge of anatomy among pre-teens and teens. Children discuss among each other how muscles and joints of our body allow bones to move; how yoga and meditation affect for digestion system, immune, neurological functions, nervous system and glandular systems. It can also help the children to make them ready for competition and study for exams; it also enables them to cope with the stress and pressures of daily life. These all activities are done physically challenging and friendly environment which is necessary for young bodies. Yoga is a therapy which empowers the soul and body so that the child can grow with a lot of pleasant feelings. Early exercises enhance the healthy and natural development of children. However, if a child or parents are interested, they never too late to reap the benefits of Yoga Therapy. Exercising yoga to children is a challenging, exciting and rewarding.
