Normally, eczema will show up on a babies head, scalp, cheeks, and belly, but it can spread to other parts of the body such as the arms, chest, or legs. Almost 20% of infants and young children have eczema. It is not an allergic reaction, but it can be triggered by allergens in your babies diet, or even in your own diet if your breastfeeding. Other aggravates could include synthetic clothing, temperature changes, and dry skin. It doesn't have to be difficult to treat your babies eczema. it can very well be simple. Here are a few tips to help you get started;
- Normally eczema thrives on stealing moisture from the skin, so if you can constantly keep the skin moisturized you will help avoid its outbreaks. Restricting baths to just 2-3 times per week will also help the skin remain moisturized. Keeping the skin moisturized is probably one of the most effective eczema treatments.
- You should certainly avoid anything that contains fragrances or coloring. a mild, unscented thick baby lotion is best, and should be applied around five times a day for best results.
