Idiot Proof Diet Reviews are hard to come by on the internet because of all the biased information. Almost every review only covers the good parts of the diet. Although it seems the pros do outweigh the cons this diet is NOT for everyone and in this article we will cover the basics as well as the pros and cons.  

How It Works: The whole concept of the idiot proof diet is nothing new or revolutionary. It is based on a legitimate & sound dieting principle called calorie shifting. Calorie shifting is a method of eating where you vary what, and how much you eat in a very strict manner. Your calories are constantly being "shifted" in a certain manner. What happens is your body responds by making your metabolism go into overdrive. It has been known for a long time that you can manipulate your metabolism by eating a certain way.

Positives:

  • Does not require exercise for results although exercise is encouraged
  • Great for people that need a step by step system that lack discipline
  • Results reported are fairly quick which encourage people to stick to it

Negatives:

  • Food choices can become boring and monotonous
  • There are days where all you eat are fruit and some people report getting quite hungry
  • During the cheat phase you usually gain a few pounds back which can be disappointing

What Is Included?: There are two main components to the idiot proof diet. You receive a simple ebook that covers eating principles such as how to drink alcohol while dieting, how to eat out, and other important aspects people nowadays face when dieting.

There is also something called a diet generator and this is the main component of the program. The diet generator is a simple program where you pick from a large list of foods things you like. You then press a button and an 11 day menu is planned out for you to follow. There are no fancy foods or shakes. It is regular food you probably already have or normally shop for. You follow the menu for 11 days and you then get to go on a less strict "cheat" phase. Cheat does not mean eat cakes and pizza all day for 3 days straight!

Those are the basics of the idiot proof diet reviews including the good and bad. Contrary to popular belief they did not invent these concepts but just included them in a simple to understand diet plan. If you are someone that needs step by step instructions including a menu that you follow it may work well for you. If your someone that likes to have a lot of variety or freedom in your diet you may want to opt for something like the south beach or Mediterranean diet.
