Tummy Toning Exercises - How to Flatten Your Tummy and Get 6

To flatten your tummy and to be able to develop strong abdominal, here are a couple of exercises that would help you curb those love handles. Just make sure that when you do these, do these with determination and perseverance and not just a one time event. After all, a great body isn't shaped over night.

One activity that would help you have a strong tummy is an exercise that most people are probably familiar with.

First is that you should lie on your back with your legs straight. Bend your knees slowly and put your feet parallel to the floor. Put your hand behind your head and start to rise slowly. (Remember to put the strain in your tummy or belly and not in your head. You might injure yourself if you put too much pressure on your head.)

Next is that when you have risen at a considerable position, pause. Wait for a few minutes before putting your head back down on the floor. Repeat this action for at least ten rounds. If you felt that you have strained your neck and your back, discontinue the exercise.

Another form of exercise that would tone your tummy is just to sit on the floor and that your knees should be bent. Your feet should be parallel to the floor. Now take your left arm and place it on your chest and you should do this with your right arm also.

Gradually lean back and pause for a few minutes until you feel a strain in your back. Then go back to your original position. Do this activity for at least ten times.

Besides these simple tummy toning exercises, I would recommend you jog at least twice a week to reduce your overall body fat. Since your abs muscles are underneath your stomach fat, they won't show unless you lose that stomach fat.

Brisk walking or jogging not only helps to burn fat but also increase your metabolism enabling you to burn fat better.
