Choosing the right foods is key to getting quick abs. We can diet all we want but when we choose foods that are not optimal for our body, then no amount of dieting and even exercising will reveal ripped abs. Choosing the right foods means choosing lean proteins, complex carbohydrates and fibrous foods. Choosing the right foods also means staying away from fatty, fried, fast foods and sugary snacks and pop. The latter are so calorie-laden that the body won't be able to use up all the calories taken in resulting in their conversion to fat, which are ultimately stored in the stomach area. Choosing the right foods means our body can easily convert them to usable energy to fuel our daily activities leading to less or no conversion to and storage of fat. Because no excess fat is stored, the body is free to use up excess fat stores when it needs more fuel. Choosing the right foods and consuming them in smaller amounts but more often during the day ensures that the smaller amount of calories that was just taken in, can now be consumed totally, allowing no excess calories to be converted to fat and stored in the stomach area. In addition, since digestion requires using up energy, excess body fat can be tapped as fuel when recent caloric intake is not enough. When we add daily workouts to our lives along with choosing the right foods, we are not only promoting heart health, but we are also on our way to revealing great abs. Exercise speeds up our metabolism, which encourages the body to burn fat more efficiently. Training with weights and intervals keep it interesting and spurs more of a fat burn by overworking the muscles. The muscles now need to repair and nourish themselves, which creates more energy consumption resulting in less calories stored as fat. Choosing the right foods doesn't mean skipping meals and starving ourselves. It is very important not to do this because this actually sends a signal to our brain informing it is in an emergency situation already and to start conserving calories. The exact opposite of what we want. So we should eat. Just expend more energy than we take in. The combined efforts of daily workouts and choosing the right foods are essential to getting quick, nice-looking abs. When we choose the right foods and complement that with workouts, we are choosing the best way to getting quick abs!
