It's 6:30 and the Alarm clock rings. You drag yourself out of bed and wish that you could wake up with energy and stop feeling tired during the day? Sound familiar? You can learn to wake up with more energy and reduce fatigue. Here are some tips for more energy. Tip #1: Exercise for 15+ minutes a day. "No! I don't want to." I know this is what many people feel, but think about the benefits. You will likely:
- Sleep better
- Wake up with more energy
- Help you Stop feeling tired during the day.
I know that I can feel a difference at 6:30 if I have exercised the day before. In fact sometimes I will wake up without an alarm clock! What kind of exercise? Pretty much anything. Do some research and you will find the answer. Tip #2: Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day. Our body runs on cycles. Disrupting these cycles can cause us to feel tired. Have you noticed how on the weekend when you sleep in, you may feel like you are dragging and be lacking in energy? The reason for this is that you have gotten out of your sleep cycle. Get into a routine and stick with it. Sure you may sleep in an extra 30 minutes now and then, but avoid the later nights and later mornings when you are not used to it! Tip #3: Find your ideal sleep cycle. Every person has a sleep cycle. During the night your body will enter slight sleep and then move to deep sleep and back to light sleep. This cycle happens about every 90 minutes. Some more and some less. The key to waking up with energy and sleeping less at night is to find your ideal sleep cycle. You may feel the most rested at 6.5 hrs instead of 7. Or maybe 7.25 hrs is better than 7:00. Play around with this and see which gives you the most energy.
