Are you constantly biting your nails and wish you could stop? Well, you are not alone. Thousands of people bite their nails due to boredom, anxiety, or stress. However biting your nails is a habit that many people wish they could make vanish. Statistics show that as many as 40% of all adults have a habit of biting their nails. That statistic is about 25% for young adults and 30% for children between the ages of 7 and 10.

Studies show that both males and females bite their nails and one sex is not more likely to do it than the other. It is very hard to stop biting your nails, but luckily it is not a life threatening illness and can be cured.

However there are certain steps you can take to prevent biting your nails:

One option to help cure nail biting is by wearing gloves or bandages. With these things on there, you are less likely to bite your nails You can also put cream that tastes pretty bad on your nails so that you will not bite your nails for a second time. There are various polishes available on the market that taste and smell pretty bad. If you use cream that tastes bad, try to wash your hands before eating otherwise your food will start tasting bad.

There are various other remedies that can easily help you stop biting you nails quickly and easily. If you focus, you can overcome your nail biting habits in just a few days.

Also try to get your friends and family to help remind you when you biting your nails so that you will realize it and stop.
